The new CDLP precast plant in France impresses by its intelligent work processes

In order to be able to produce precast floor slabs and double walls economically and to be able to react flexibly to fluctuating demands, CDLP focused from the outset on a sustainable plant concept with flexible work processes that had been thought out to the end. The plant, which was completed at the end of June 2011, is therefore tailored precisely to the environmental conditions and  to the precast concrete elements to be produced.

From 0 to 450,000 Prestressed Concrete Sleepers

One of the most modern automated circulation plants for railroad sleepers, located  in Afyon, Turkey has been taken into operation. Inkol Insaat is set to produce in future 450,000 prestressed concrete sleepers annually in two-shift operation. Thanks to its know-how in plant technology, Vollert Anlagenbau, the specialist in precast concrete plants realized the complete production plant in a mere 6 months from receipt of the order.

Precast factory explore manufacturing, Laing O’Rourke

Laing O’Rourke is the largest privately owned construction solutions provider in the UK. In  March 2010 the company opened „Explore Industrial Park“, a state-of-the-art new precast factoriy in the East Midlands, built to strengthen the company’s offsite manufacturing capabilities and to support its construction projects across the UK.

Sleeper factory for Manufacturing Monoblock LVT

Tribeton® - a brand name belonging to Creabeton Materiaux AG in Switzerland – wished to change their monoblock production method from conventional to self-compacting concrete. Eltecna AG, Zürich, and Vollert Anlagenbau GmbH, Weinsberg, (Germany) gained the contract to develop and supply a new circulation system for manufacturing sleepers. In essence, the LVT (Low Vibration Track) monoblocks for the Gotthard base tunnel are to be manufactured with this system.

Solid and double walls from one source

In February 2010, the first double wall production line was put into operation at company Trabis located in Yecla in the region of Murcia in the south-east of Spain. The solid wall production line installed three years ago by Vollert and their partners was expanded in such a manner that it is now possible to manufacture also double walls in a cost-effective and efficient way besides the solid walls being manufactured so far.

Initial commissioning of a new ceiling and wall production system

In mid-2008, DSK Block put in operation the latest production facility for precast concrete components in St Petersburg. DSK Block belongs to the LSR Group, one of the leading companies of its type in north-west Russia, and has set itself the goal of a reaching an output capacity of 750,000-square-metre residential area annually by 2011 through its two plants for the manufacture of precast concrete components. In order to achieve this, a total of €19 million was invested in the first stage to allow an annual production of 180,000 m³ of precast concrete components.

Gocrete: a company gets in shape for the future

Production of prestressed concrete sleepers using the late removal of shuttering

On the basis of an internal study carried out in 2002 that investigated all the current options available on the market for the production of prestressed concrete sleepers in terms of economy, quality and the use of energy, Leonhard Moll Betonwerke chose at the end of 2002 a system for the production of prestressed concrete sleepers using the late removal of the shuttering. Here, the experience of Moll, which had already produced several million prestressed concrete sleepers in the past, was combined with the plant engineering expertise of Vollert. The result is a plant that sets new standards worldwide with regard to economy, quality and energy consumption.
