New coating plant with intelligent conveyor technology for EvoBus
At the PaintExpo 2012 in Karlsruhe from April 17th to 20th (hall 1, stand 1328), Vollert Anlagenbau will present new solutions for the wet and powder coating of large-scale components. One of the company’s current projects is a semi-automatic coating plant, installed at the bus manufacturer EvoBus GmbH in Mannheim. Each of the newly installed lines for coating the bus bodies is equipped wtih two paint shops, linked by semi-automatic lifting and conveyor equipment, for simple and risk-free transportation of car bodies. In its capacity as general contractor, Vollert carried out the planning, production and delivery of all of the conveyor technology and the steel structure. It was also responsible for project coordination for the air and filter technology.

Order for a high-bay warehouse system for 45,000 tons of aluminium coils in China
Vollert received an order from the Chinese Henan Zhongfu Industrial Co. Ltd to construct and install a fully automatic high-bay warehouse system for the storage of up to 1,300 aluminium coils for the new rolling mill in Gongyi in the province of Henan. The scope of order covers not only the linkage to the hot rolling mill but also the complete conveyor technology for the transport of the coils up to a weight of 35 tons to the annealing furnaces, the cold rolling mills and other production procedures.

Vollert reveives INTERMAT Innovation Award 2012
The INTERMAT Innovation Awards are considered one of the most important showcases for sustainable product innovation in the construction and construction materials industry. An international top-class jury under the chairmanship of Patrick Bernasconi, President of the French construction industry association, awarded the processing station ISO-MATIC developed by Vollert the Silver Award 2012 in the category construction equipment. The ISO-MATIC allows firstly the automated preparation, positioning and laying of the insulation in the manufacturing of. core insulated precast elements. This ensures economic, resource-saving production processes, explained the jury that selected Vollert product innovation among a total of 80 candidates at the award ceremony.

Donation for Justinus-Kerner high-school in Weinsberg
This year as well the Vollert plant engineering company supports Justinus-Kerner high-school in Weinsberg with a donation. An amount of € 2000 has been spent for the expansion of teaching natural science and technology. Headmaster Hans-Jürgen Maciejewski has been pleased to use the financial support from Vollert for a further addition of the technical lab equipment to comply with the current working methods practiced in technical professions.

Hans-Jörg Vollert in the board of directors of the professional association VDMA for construction equipment and building material machinery
Hans-Jörg Vollert, managing partner of Vollert Anlagenbau GmbH has been elected for the coming three years to the new board of directors of the professional association VDMA (German Engineering Federation) for construction equipment and building material machinery. The industry association represents the interests on behalf of 300 companies. Totally employing a staff of 53,000 people and generating total sales worth EUR 9.6 billion (as of 2009) the association belongs to the leading industries of mostly medium-sized machine and plant engineering companies.

Fully automatic coil transport in Hydro aluminium mill
Hydro Aluminium Rolled Products GmbH has commissioned Vollert Anlagenbau to modernise its existing plant in Grevenbroich by designing an end-to-end intralogistics system that automatically loads and unloads lorries, stores up to 4,000 tons of aluminium coil, and uses trolleys with inductive power transfer.

2011 work anniversaries at Vollert
This year, we have been able to celebrate staff work milestones achieved at Vollert. Mrs Susanne Ziegler, an official in the purchasing department; Mr Josef Gebhart, a design engineer for intralogistics solutions; and Mr Werner Knörzer, production team leader. We were therefore able to celebrate the 40th anniversary of several employees. This is a clear indication of the value that Vollert places on staffing continuity, and the esteem in which it holds its employees, who all make a big difference to the success of the company.

E-Mobility for container logistics
Battery-powered, emissions-free transporters that operate without a driver are being used for the first time at HHLA Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA). To quickly and frequently exchange the batteries in the onboard battery boxes, which can weigh up to 12 tons, Vollert Anlagenbau developed a fully automated handling station.

Russian prime minister Putin visited the precast concrete factory ZhBI-6 in Moscow
The Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin visited end of April together with a high-ranking delegation composed of representatives from politics and the construction industry the precast concrete factory of our customer Zavod ZhBI-6 in Moscow. The production plants taken into operation in 2009 and 2011 are mainly used for the production of load-bearing concrete solid walls for the residential and industrial construction and present the state-of-the-art technology. The delegation has been highly impressed by the performance of the whole plant. At this point one aspect became quite clear. Innovative precast concrete technology makes residential construction even more efficient and cost-effective.

The University of Chulalongkorn in Bangkok has placed an order with Vollert
Vollert Anlagenbau received an order from the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok for a simulation plant to produce pre-cast concrete components. In future, engineering science students will experience, in a reality environment, all the production processes and individual machinery components that are present in a modern pre-cast concrete factory. The Chulalongkorn University, founded in 1917 by King Vajiravudh, is one of the oldest universities in Thailand. At present, there are almost 30 000 students in 19 degree programmes. The University’s facilities include the renowned Faculty of Engineering which, thanks to the new training plant, gives its students real, functional knowledge as well as a theoretical education.

CeMAT 2011: Vollert showcases its automatic cranes for goods of up to 40 tons
Vollert Anlagenbau will be presenting solutions for heavy-duty automatic cranes at the CeMAT fair in Hannover from 2nd until 6th of May 2011 (hall 27, stand F52), with floor-bound and overhead intralogistics systems completing the range.

Sleeper factory in Turkey
An ultra-modern sleeper factory will be delivered to Messrs. Celikler Holding, based in Ankara, Turkey in the first quarter 2011. The circulation system for the production of prestressed concrete sleepers is designed for a plant production capacity exceeding 300 000 sleepers per year; with the ability to expand to 450 000 sleepers per year. End of March 2011 the trial operation of the industrial plant is planned to be started.

Transfer cars for Russian wagon factory
One of 35 trucks starting in Weinsberg with the destination Tikhvin, 230 km east of St. Peters-burg / Russia. In the course of the next days a supply of material up to 370 tons will reach the Russian customs clearance.

CeMAT Russia 2010 in Moscow
The participation at the first event of the CeMAT Russia in Moscow turned out to be a good opportunity to better get to know the interesting Russian market. Despite having relatively few visitors we could welcome at our stand a top quality and significant expert public based on the numerous dialogues we had. Main subjects have been above all the painting technology and high-bay storage systems.

Aluminium 2010 in Essen
The aluminium trade fair in Essen was very successful, and resulted in many more contacts worldwide than were made in 2008. Visitors were particularly interested in the technical solutions being used at the aluminium rolling mill Xiashun in Xiamen in China, where a complete intralogistics system has been developed and built for coils weighing up to 17 tons. Another highlight in the discussions has been our automatic crane, developed for a Schletter company extrusion plant. This AMC can handle 120 skips an hour, which makes it unique globally.

New large-scale boring mill
Vollert sticks to its motto: “Vollert: Top quality and accuracy“.
This principle is currently being applied, with the start-up of foundation
works for a new boring mill. Two million Euros are being invested in precision
machine components up to a unit weight of 90 tons and lengths of 24m.

Vollert donates €1,500 for the bridge builders who are still at school
‘Germany is a country that has no raw materials. Education is our major form of capital,” says Hans-Jörg Vollert, managing director of the plant engineering company from Weinsberg. “Our focus is on doing something for our homeland, not just making an anonymous donation.” In this way, Vollert is supporting the teaching in the local high school, and of science and technology in particular.

1 September 2009:
Large parts moved and painted rationally
F. X. Meiller Fahrzeug- & Maschinenfabrik has had new plants for the coating of large parts since the beginning of July. Two parallel painting lines with a length of 70 metres offer room for ̈14 stations. The lines can each simultaneously handle 12 heavy parts each weighing up to eight tons. Two chain conveyor systems from Vollert provide the required traction force.

Special manipulator with three synchronous lifting plants lifts aluminium profiles of up to 18 metres in length
Vollert Anlagenbau is developing a special manipulator for a newly planned buffer storage warehouse at Schletter GmbH, the biggest supplier of solar installation systems in Europe, with three lifting plants that can lift individually or synchronously in combination, depending on the profile length, with a total load of 9 t and a length of 18 m. In addition, the extremely compact construction allows optimal utilisation of the warehouse height.

Painting 50 tons off the floor without risk of explosion
Liebherr is setting new standards for the construction of commercial vehicles with a new painting plant. In future, at the Ehingen factory parts with a weight of up to 50 tons for mobile and tracked cranes are to be painted while hanging freely. Vollert Anlagenbau from Weinsberg developed the requisite intralogistics for it. Wirtgen and SEW-EURODRIVE also make use of the new technology.
