Solid floor/wall

Solid walls are made of 10- to 50-cm-thick wall elements that are made of normal or light concrete. The reinforcing that is required for structural reasons is built into the solid walls at the factory, whereby this often only assumes the function of transport reinforcement, especially in the case of light concrete elements. Full walls are used for load-bearing and non-loading-bearing basement inner walls and also for load-bearing and non-loading-bearing walls on ground floors and the floors above.
Compared to a double wall, there is the significant advantage that no mix-in-situ concrete is needed; thus, the progress of the construction can be faster. The solid walls that are used for inner and outer walls are finished elements that do not need to be concreted in at the construction site, unlike double walls. Rational construction in the residential and industrial sector is therefore possible using large-format elements.
Solid floor slabs are produced in a similar production process to that of solid walls. Normally, they are 20 cm thick, and all the required structural reinforcement is built into the precast concrete component. Compared to a component floor, there is the significant advantage that no mix-in-situ concrete for completion is needed; thus, the progress of the construction can be faster.
