New tooling for Weinsberger School

Factory lessons must be interesting and exciting in order to inspire children at primary school age for technology and manual work. The associated tools for the new workroom of the Weinsberg primary school were donated by the plant manufacturer Vollert.

Full of ambition and concentration, the pupils of the art and work class of the Weinsberg Primary School are working on their work this morning. Nails are hammered into wooden blocks, edges filed and corners sawn out. Work is carried out with new tools, including fretsaws, pliers, files, hammers and even electric screwdrivers, donated by the Weinsberg plant enginerring company Vollert. Last year too, the company waived Christmas presents for customers and partners and enabled thus that the purchase of new tools in the amount of € 3.000.

Enthusing children for technology

"For some years now we have been supporting technical training at primary and secondary schools in Weinsberg. We would like to support the children, especially girls, in technical and craft activities at an early age and inspire them to take up technical careers or courses of study later on" explains Hans-Jörg Vollert, who visits the pupils in the working class on this day. "For a country like Germany, which is a global leader in mechanical and plant engineering, it is vital to inspire children and young people with enthusiasm for technology in order to remain successful in the future."

With the donation, we were able to acquire high-quality tools for the pupils, says a delighted Deputy Principal Sigrun Kögel. This makes it possible to make handicraft lessons varied and interesting. "In addition, the workroom of the primary school in Weinsberg also forms an important part of the newly established all-day care", adds Sigrun Kögel.
