Cantilever storage systems for extreme loads place the highest demands on design and statics. High bending and lever forces on the cantilever arms result in considerable moments on the uprights and foundation. Load capacity, anchoring, and floor design must therefore be precisely matched to the actual load cases. Uneven loading or overloading of individual arms can lead to deformation or, in extreme cases, instability. At the same time, long and heavy workpieces require sufficient maneuvering space and suitable conveyor technology.
