More information on this project: vollert.de LUFTHANSA CARGO, GERMANY Lufthansa Cargo is investing in the modernizati- on of its logistics center at Frankfurt Airport with an infrastructure program. Vollert has equipped the high-bay warehouse of the Road Feeder Ser- vice (RFS) with two new 28-meter-high stacker cranes for the rapid storage and retrieval of air freight from the tarmac to the road. The single- aisle warehouse has a total of 510 compart- ments. These are arranged on both sides and can each hold up to two load carriers with a to- tal weight of 14 tons. Two completely redesigned Moving Truck Docks (MTD) handle the rapid loa- ding of trucks.. EEW, GERMANY The power plant operator EEW in northern Ger- many uses a signal exchange with a fully auto- matic loading and unloading crane to shunt wa- gons. As part of a comprehensive modernization project, a used shunting vehicle was equipped with new technology. To do this, the experts from Vollert gutted the entire vehicle body and renewed the drive, electrical and control tech- nology.
